Road Warrior Double

Once we sell the time machine bass, our next project will be a double neck combination guitar and bass. The theme will be a combination of steampunk and hot-rod motor vehicle. One source of inspiration will be the flamethrower guitar in the Mad Max Fury Road movie though we do not intend to attempt a direct copy. We want to be original and we don't want to incorporate an actual working flamethrower even though that would be fun.

All of the parts have been ordered from our longtime loyal supplier/sponsors including: Babicz, Nordstrand, Hipshot and Warmoth. We also anticipate working with our friends at AxetremeCreations on custom pickguards but that will come later. The materials cost of a doubleneck is substantial, even after assistance from our supplier/sponsors, so we are very grateful to LazrArt, our first Platinum Corporate Sponsor which covered most of the remaining materials cost.

LazrArt has been our supplier/sponsor for our logo neck plates from the time we were founded. That bit of branding is a small but important part of every one of our projects. LazrArt neck plates are made of aircraft aluminum (or steel) and of course are custom laser engraved. An excellent product that we have proudly utilized from our earliest days.

Follow us on social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Talkbass for regular updates on our progress. This page will be updated on an irregular basis but will eventually be our permanent archive for photos, videos and other materials once the road warrior guitar/bass is completed.

Once again, while we don't intent directly copy it, here are a couple of pictures of the Fury Road flamethrower guitar that was an important inspiration to begin this particular project. The body and necks which recently arrived are also shown here:
